Instead of trying to find something to wear or tracking a sitter; stay home, share some time with loved ones over burgers and brats in your own backyard AND still support the outreach of LifeQuest USA.
Freedom. That word which we have so often taken for granted means so much more in 2020 than it ever has been in our pasts. COVID 19 pandemic, churches and businesses being closed, George Floyd’s death, riots across America, and talk of vaccines and contact tracing may seem a little overwhelming at times. Yet, we hope that this 4th of July, Independence Day, might come to mean more to each of us than ever before.
At LifeQuest we talk about freedom constantly. To the young men and women we serve, physical freedom is obviously a major talking point. In fact, if you ask our youth population what they most want in life more often than not the answer will come quickly, “I just want to get out.” If you’ve ever been deprived of your physical freedom you can easily understand that answer. However, we know that answer is shortsighted at best. There is an imprisonment far worse than physical imprisonment. If you have ever experienced addiction, or overwhelming depression, or paralyzing fear then you know what I’m talking about.
That is the reason this year’s UnBanquet has been named the “Freedom UnBanquet.” Our desire is that each of you reading this will take a few moments to reflect on the incredible blessing bestowed on each of us. And upon reflecting on that freedom we have that so many around the world are NOT able to experience, our prayer would be that you might support our efforts to reach the young men and women we serve with the freedom, the Good News, that only comes through a very real relationship with Jesus Christ. Because in Jesus’ words “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?”
Thank you for considering a gift for LifeQuest to support our efforts to help the young men and women of NM to find true freedom, not simply physical freedom. Our goal this year is simple: finding 100 men and women to give $100 each to help us reach our goal. We understand that times are hard and scary but we trust that you understand that your gift means more now than maybe it ever has before. Thank you in advance for your consideration and we look forward to the exciting things that lie ahead for LifeQuest and for each of you.
